Siemens is a German technology company which is active in three main fields, industry, energy and health care. Almost 500,000 people are employed by this company in approximately 190 countries. It is listed both on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange. Each of its three main divisions comprises several sub divisions. Industry encompasses industry automation, motion control, building technologies, industry solutions, mobility and lighting. Energy comprehends fossil power generation, renewable energy, oil and gas, service rotating equipment, power transmission and power distribution. And health care includes imaging and IT, workflow and solutions and diagnostics. A new sector, called infrastructure and cities, has been announced and is expected to be implemented in the last trimester of 2011.
